Alexandru Alexandrescu is an advisory lawyer, with his practice focused on corporate law, real estate transactions and the regulation of emerging technologies. He works with entrepreneurs, investors, developers and companies, from structuring an investment or negotiating a contract through to implementing the legal solution best suited to their activity.

In the corporate field, he assists clients throughout the development of their business: incorporation and reorganisation of companies, changes to shareholding structure, appointment of directors, securing financing, mergers and acquisitions, including cross-border ones. He has experience in adapting to Romanian law the contractual mechanisms encountered in US- and UK-style investments, including those concerning investor exit, redemption of shares and the spin-off of certain activities. He collaborates with tax specialists where the structure of the transaction requires an integrated analysis.

In real estate matters, he provides assistance with the purchase, sale and lease of land, homes and commercial premises, for both individuals and companies and developers. His work includes legal due diligence, negotiation of documentation and managing difficulties arising in the relationship with developers, including delays in completion or handover.

His interest in technology stems from his background in computer science and programming, which allows him to engage with technical teams and better understand the products under analysis. He advises clients on the application of the MiCA Regulation, on preparing documentation for the authorisation of crypto-asset service providers, and on the legal classification of various types of tokens. In the field of artificial intelligence, he works on risk assessment, internal usage policies and compliance with European rules. He is also involved in international organisations dedicated to the field, including in leadership and legal advisory roles.
