Marius advises companies, entrepreneurs and investors on complex commercial contracts and transactions, investment projects and situations with a tax or regulatory dimension. He is frequently involved in mandates where the legal analysis has to be integrated with the economic mechanisms of the transaction or of the business model, including in industries such as technology, fintech, aviation, financial services, retail and digital assets.

An important part of his work concerns emerging technologies, investments and new business models, with Marius advising companies and investors on projects involving artificial intelligence, crypto, blockchain, fintech and the regulation of financial services. Alongside his practice as a lawyer, he is frequently invited to speak at conferences and business events and takes part in television programmes and appearances on commercial law, taxation, investments and technology, explaining the legal implications of economic and technological developments for companies and investors.

Representative experience

Assisting an aviation operator in complex commercial litigation, with claims in the millions of euros and disputes over price adjustment mechanisms, guarantees and contractual liability.
Coordinating the legal strategy for the recognition and enforcement in Romania of an international arbitral award concerning claims of more than EUR 25 million against a major player in the energy sector.
Assisting companies in financial restructurings, insolvency proceedings and litigation over directors' liability, including in cases with significant financial exposure and tax components.
Negotiating and structuring complex commercial agreements, including services, distribution, financing, brokerage and debt rescheduling contracts, and transactions involving guarantees and creditor protection mechanisms.
Advising fintech companies, platforms and investors on crypto, blockchain, digital assets and new technology business models, including from the perspective of MiCA and the regulatory framework applicable to financial services.
Assisting companies in artificial intelligence projects, including the analysis of business models, contracts, intellectual property, liability and the regulatory implications arising from the use of AI systems.
Advising international companies in cross-border mandates on entering the Romanian market, commercial contracts, relationships with local partners, operational structures and regulatory and compliance matters.
Representing and assisting companies in audits and disputes with tax and regulatory authorities, as well as in situations where the legal implications overlap with commercial and reputational risks.
